    DO NOT BUY A GLOW BOY STOVE!!!! We made a purchase two years ago and have had nothing but problems, everything from electrical issues to the way the pellets were being dropped down into the hopper!!! We have had it serviced again, and again, it was removed, had a new electrical panel put in, and it still does not work...we are having it removed permanently because it almost caused a fire...TWICE!!!!! I love the concept of a pellet stove, and have talked to friends who have other brands and they have NEVER experienced the problems we have! I will purchase another stove eventually, but it will not and never will be a Glow Boy!

    Surprising I suppose but I don't hear too much about Glow Boy Stoves since putting mine in 5 years ago. Fortunately for me, the only item replace was the igniter and that lasted the first 4 years. I have had some issues but related only to the quality of the pellets. Otherwise, it's been a good unit. Maybe you simply came across the occasional "lemon." I'm surprised about the electrical since I had no special work done to accommodate the unit. I have since placed it on it's own circuit to keep me from tripping breakers but that was simply over-current with the combined draw of the stove and all the other lighting and electronics on the same circuit. Sorry to hear of your problems.
