I've had my stove since 2004.It's save me a ton of money from the high price of natural gas we pay on Long Island (National Grid). It has been working great till last week (ground hog day). The burn pot intermittantly fills up and over flows causing the unit to stop. I was told the control board needs to be replaced. This part is hard to find even on the web. Anyone know of a website that carries these parts? Hitdbeach@hotmail.com

Purchased the unit 2009 have run about 3 tons of pellets through the stove. Find the cost of fuel saves about 260 dollars a year. The one problem the unit has is when reducing the fuel feed - nighttime before going to bed the unit will stop functioning. The dealer says the klinkers in the burn pot prevent the fire from burning - however the unit is in Fault and when the switch is moved to off and then back on the unit starts burns all of the pellets(it has overfilled the burn pot and there's a couple of handfuls of pellet out in the ash area) and continues to work without problem until the fuel setting is moved toward a high feed and down again as mentioned.

We heating about 1200 sq.ft of area and the stove just keeps the area warm, the highest fuel feed setting will increase the temperature in the immediate area, but just.

Considering what we have learned with the pellet stove, it's not a worthwhile purchase - we're spending about $421. a ton hear in D/FW area and a winter savings of about $260. doesn't equate for the inconvenience of using/cleaning the unit.

Got my Avalon Newport Pellet Stove in 2001 - as of this winter I will have passed 22 TONs of pellets through the unit. Yep, I live in Arizona and it gets cold here too. I have rebuilt the unit twice and it's working great!
