Just installed this yesterday and it heats very well. Only used it one day, but it seems like it will be perfect for our 2000 sq ft home. Upstairs doesn't heat up much, but does keep it at a decent temp so that I don't need to run the furnace. Our only complaint so far is the fan is VERY noisy even on the lowest speed. It's kind of annoying, but I guess we will get used to it and it's worth it to be warm and save money. I also notice the hopper lid does have a catch half way down which someone else mentioned. They thought it was intentional, but I have no idea what purpose that would serve.
General recommendation: beautiful stove, heats well, but very noisy.

Bought this model in Fall '07. Here is what I've experienced so far
with this model. First of all let me tell you, this is one beautiful pellet stove, as far as estetics is concerned you can't
go wrong with this model. After the installation, we had a problem
with the hooper lid, where it would not properly press down
on the hopper safety switch, in turn the auger would not engage and no pellets would drop. Problem solved, the stove worked w/o problems
all of fall 07 winter 08 without any issues.
Cleaning:
I cleaned this stove every couple of weeks on average, wether it needed it or not. I just cleaned it out last week and turned it on and realized that the variable speed fan (blower) was stuck on high. the Techs have been called, and the stove is under warranty.
Performance:
Hopper: In general you will be able to fit (barely) 1 40 lb pellet bag.
Blower:
This is the best part: Lots of heated air with variable speed which will helps to reduce fan noise, which really isn't noisy.
Coverage:
I installed the pellet stove in my Living room (17ft vaulted ceilings), and it is able to heat my Living room, Master bedroom (also high ceilings) and dining room and kitchen
(also high ceilings) about 1200 sq ft w/o problems. I would imagine this stove could easily heat a 2000 sq ft area with normal height
ceilings.
$$$:
At the current price of oil ($3.50/gal) I'll be saving about
$700-$800 for the winter season, and in case the price of HHO goes
up further during the winter, the savings will add up.
Overall:
I'm very happy with the stove and I would highly recommend it.
BTW, I stopped by the stove shop last week and prices on these stoves have gone up by about 20%, they are very popular.

I would not recommend this stove, or this company, at least their rep on Long Island. I bought this stove in November 2007 and have had nothing but trouble. The auger jams up and dumps a load of pellets at once, which causes the system to go out. Last night, I filled the hopper, turned the machine back on, and waited for 1/2 hr until I finally turned it off. Not 1 pellet had dropped in the 1/2 hr I waited. I unplugged the system, put my hand into the hopper, pushed the pellets around, and turned the machine back on. This time it worked. I have had this problem on a regular basis since I purchased the stove. The rep from Lopi has been unresponsive. Clearly, they are a company that sells their product then walks away from their customers.
